Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors
Are theĀ Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors good food processors or bad ones? This seems to be the biggest question here. It does not seems as if the users of this machine can reach a consensus about it. There are rave reviews about the You Save: Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors and then there are users saying they are nothing but a heap of rubbish!
So, now I cannot recommend this machine to you and I can also not not recommend it. The best would be if you go and have a look at all the reviews yourself on Amazon. Remember, If you buy it from Amazon you get a 51% discount which is not bad. Of course, if you believe the 22 out of 51 customers that gives it a 5 star rating, or even the 9 that gives it the 4 star rating, the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors cannot be that bad!
Go now and have a look for yourself: Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors
Here are the most importantĀ features of the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors:
- Ideal for making dough, slicing vegetables, shredding cheese, mincing garlic and herbs, mixing batters, emulsifying mayonnaise and more
- 11-cup work bowl large enough for a family
- Includes steel blade, dough blade, three slicing/shredding discs, spatula
- Extra-large feed tube for larger food slices
- Five-year full motor warranty, three-year limited entire unit warranty
I think it is best if we start with a look at the review Henry Troup give these Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors:
I’ve used my Cuisinart fairly hard – I make mustard (from mustard seed) on a small scale for sale at a farmer’s market. I’ve had it for six or seven years now, so mine may not be identical to this model. But the number and the specs are.
You can swamp the machine in too much liquid – I can process up to about four cups of fairly liquid stuff, but no more or I have an overflow to deal with.
A dishwasher does a good job of cleaning the bowl and knife, and the knife has held its edge well. The bowl has a certain number of scratches after heavy use.
I’ve hardly ever used the plastic blade – even for dough, I use the steel blade. I have a few shredding/slicing disks, which have seen a reasonable amount of use for large scale salads, turkey stuffing, and sauerkraut. (sp?)
It doesn’t dice. There’s no technique by which true dice can be made in a food processor. You could use the processor to slice or even julienne and finish by hand, but it’s too fussy.
This does not seem to bad, I would definitely look at it because of this.
Now let see what “A Customer” has to say:
This food processor is made in China. For the same amount of money you can buy an 11 cup Kitchen Aid. It runs smoother, has the slicing blades and a mini bowl. The blades are Sabatier and are excellent. We tried both machines and returned the Cuisinart.
Then again have a look at what “serencymru” has to say:
We’re all looking for a way to stretch our food budgets these days — cooking and eating at home is one of the best budget enhancers available. Consider this food processor an investment which will pay for itself for the cost of a few dinners out. The Cuisinart comes with a slicing blade, a dough blade and three slicing blades, a guide (including recipes) and a very important DVD demonstrating how to use the food processor and a few recipes. I’ve used it for all the usual slicing and chopping, but what I’ve enjoyed most is using it to make my own bread. It is so easy — the food processor takes all the hassle out of breadbaking — no kneading, no mess, no fuss. I haven’t owned any other food processor (except for a small Cuisinart chopper/grinder) so have no point of comparison, but this is heavy and well built and does the job for me. The only thing I would suggest is getting the lock box for the attachments, otherwise you’ll have a bunch of extremely sharp objects rattling around your kitchen and no safe place to stow them. MY ONLY NOTE IS THIS: Watch the price, I see it is now (April 16, 2009) $230 at Macys, but I got it there at $118 when I first wrote the review, so watch for a good price.
Well, after those you will have to decide for yourself what you think of the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors. Go to the site and read all the reviews. Personally I think there are more good ones than bad one, it only seems as if the bad ones are shown more prevalent and I know that is because Amazon rather lose a sale than have an unhappy customer!
So, go and have a look at the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors
Of course, if you are not happy, click around on Amazon, you will find the food processor that is just right for you if you feel uncomfortable with the Cuisinart 11 Cup Pro Custom 11 Food Processors.
